The crew is hired up and ready to start on May 11, 2009. Should be available for fire assignments on or around May 22nd. Hope everyone is doing well and has a safe 2009 season.

We have completed our hiring for the 2009 fire season. We want to thank everyone for the interest in our program. If you are still interested in a position with us in the future, we encourage folks to stay in contact with us, we will still accept emails, resumes or letters of interest year round, we are always looking for quality individuals.

We would like to wish Mike Sandoval, former Captain on the crew, a speedy recovery from his surgery. We miss him here on the crew and hope to see him out on the line this season. Take care Sandy.

Our Profile:
The Eldorado Hotshots are a 20-person, Type 1 Interagency fire crew with the U.S. Forest Service located on the Eldorado National Forest in Pollock Pines, California.
The Eldorado Hotshots travel quite consistently throughout the summer months, responding to wildland fires providing wildland fire suppression, service, and support.
The crew consists of 14 permanent fire positions, and 6 temporary firefighters are hired each season.
This website is currently under construction, please check back frequently for updated information and new pages.
We try to update the site with location of crew and current information, but due to response times and other workload, some updates are delayed.
